Z\u00e1stupci DARPY zah\u00e1jen\u00ed projektu ozn\u00e1mili 10.\u010dervna.&#13; &#13; V\u011bdci budou zkoumat \u00falohu nervov\u00fdch s\u00edt\u00ed p\u016fsob\u00edc\u00edch ve specifick\u00fdch oblastech mozku, a\u017e na \u00farovn\u011b jednotliv\u00fdch neuron\u016f, aby pochopili, jak mozek zpracov\u00e1v\u00e1 smyslov\u00e9 vjemy. Vytv\u00e1\u0159et budou tak\u00e9 nov\u00e9 algoritmy a technologie, kter\u00e9 by byly schopn\u00e9 interpretovat i generovat sign\u00e1ly mozku.&#13; &#13; V\u00fdzkumn\u00e9 t\u00fdmy pracuj\u00ed v r\u00e1mci DARPA programu NESD (Neural Engineering System design), kter\u00fd se zab\u00fdv\u00e1 v\u00fdvojem implantabiln\u00edch technologi\u00ed poskytuj\u00edc\u00edch spojen\u00ed mezi mozkem a po\u010d\u00edta\u010dem pomoc\u00ed elektrochemick\u00e9ho \u201ejazyku\u201c, tedy spojen\u00edm neurotick\u00e9ho impulsu s \u010d\u00edseln\u00fdm k\u00f3dem, na jejich\u017e principu funguje zase po\u010d\u00edta\u010dov\u00fd mozek. To by po\u010d\u00edta\u010di umo\u017enilo pos\u00edlat informace a p\u0159\u00edkazy do jednotliv\u00fdch \u010d\u00e1st\u00ed mozku, kter\u00e9 zpracov\u00e1vaj\u00ed smyslov\u00e9 vjemy, a to v m\u011b\u0159\u00edtku, kter\u00e9 dnes je\u0161t\u011b nen\u00ed ani zdaleka dostupn\u00e9 \u2013 vysv\u011btluje na webov\u00fdch str\u00e1nk\u00e1ch DARPY Elizabeth Strychalski, mana\u017eerka projektu z \u00da\u0159adu biologick\u00fdch technologi\u00ed DARPY.&#13; &#13; Skupina z Brown University na Rhode Islandu navrhla zp\u016fsob dek\u00f3dov\u00e1n\u00ed mozkov\u00fdch proces\u016f injekc\u00ed p\u0159\u00edmo do mozkov\u00e9 k\u016fry, napln\u011bn\u00e9 asi 100 000 mikroskopick\u00fdmi senzory. \u010cidla v submilimetrov\u00e9 velikosti by byla nap\u00e1jen\u00e1 bezdr\u00e1tovou jednotkou, zn\u00e1mou jako \u201eneurograins\u201c, kter\u00e1 by slou\u017eila z\u00e1rove\u0148 jako centrum pro p\u0159eklad dat a p\u0159enosu.&#13; &#13; Dal\u0161\u00ed z n\u00e1vrh\u016f se bude zab\u00fdvat spojen\u00edm zrakov\u00fdch nerv\u016f s um\u011blou s\u00edtnic\u00ed s vysok\u00fdm rozli\u0161en\u00edm, inspirovanou kamerami, \u0159\u00edkaj\u00ed z\u00e1stupci DARPA.&#13; &#13; NESD si klade za c\u00edl obousm\u011brn\u011b propojit v\u00edce ne\u017e 1 mili\u00f3n neuron\u016f spolu s po\u010d\u00edta\u010dem a vytvo\u0159it tak efektivn\u00ed komunika\u010dn\u00ed syst\u00e9m. A\u010dkoliv m\u00e1 DARPA hodn\u011b velk\u00e9 ambice, lidsk\u00fd mozek obsahuje okolo 86 miliard neuron\u016f, 1 mili\u00f3n se tedy nejev\u00ed, jako n\u011bco \u00fapln\u011b nemo\u017en\u00e9ho.&#13; &#13; \u201eDes\u00edtky miliard propojen\u00fdch neuron\u016f v mozku maj\u00ed svou komplexn\u00ed funkci, kter\u00e9 v\u011bdci st\u00e1le postupn\u011b odhaluj\u00ed.
